By purchasing a Retrieva Client Seat - available from us in blocks of 1, 5 or 10 - you can add as many client users as you like. Each client has the same Retrieva experience as if they were using the standalone, single-user version, only this time they're connected to a state of the art load-balanced server version. Running your multi-user, client-server, digital asset management system is simplicity itself as Retrieva Server is a zero-admin system. Fire it up and you're in business. What's more, although Retrieva is currently Mac only, you can host Retrieva Server on Mac or Windows PC.

Unrivalled web access for up to 32000 simultaneous users.

With Retrieva Server Web, your digital assets are accessible to your users or customers wherever they are using any standard web browser. Once you've added a web user to the system they can log on to Retrieva Server from anywhere in the world and browse your media catalogues in much the same way as if they were sat in front of Retrieva on your computer. Of course, you don't want just anyone running amok with your digital assets, so a full set of user access privileges can be set or cleared for each user. Web users have access to the same powerful category and search facilities and can download media to their computer regardless of which browser or operating system they use, should you allow them to do so that is! If a user unknown to the system tries to login to Retrieva Server, they are given the option to register for access, and will be added to a list of users pending your decision to let them come aboard.

Smart media management.

With Retrieva Server you can locate an image or document that you need right away, whether it's stored locally on your machine or in some other remote location. Browse through thumbnail previews of your images and other media - Retrieva will even create thumbnails for music files by automatically downloading album artwork from Amazon's enormous online artwork database - or use Retrieva's powerful search facility to pinpoint just the file you need.

Clever categories.

Retrieva Server automatically assigns your media to categories whenever you add your files to the system, making it easier than ever to find and manage your digital assets. Using an intelligent parser, Retrieva Server creates media categories on the fly based on what kinds of files they are, where they are located, and any naming conventions you've adopted for them. For example, let's say you drop a folder full of folders, each filled with images on to Retrieva. You'll be able to find your images in Retrieva because a category for each of the folder names will have been created and images assigned to these categories automatically. Retrieva Server doesn't stop here though. Retrieva will notice if you've imported, say, a thousand images called newproduction_home_001.jpg through newproduction_home_999.jpg, and will have silently and swiftly created and assigned categories for newproduction and home too.

Search with clout...

Can't find the file you need? No problem. If you know even the slightest thing that sets the required asset apart from the rest, Retrieva has more than enough to go on. Retrieva's incredibly flexible search facility let's you find the files you need based upon literally dozens of criteria including Photoshop IPTC information, EXIF information, MP3 ID3 tags and many many more. Want to find a particular photo you took last week? Find it fast based on exposure time, shutter speed, f-stop, heck you can even search according to whether the flash fired or not or even the battery level at the time you took the picture. What about that Quark layout from Jim in Design? If you haven't got a clue what it was called or how big it was but vividly remember that it had ten pages, then ask Retrieva to search based on the number of pages in a Quark document.

...and then some!

How about this for a time saver though - Retrieva will search through images based on similarity. Let's say you have hundreds of thousands of images in Retrieva's database and one day you stumble across one image from a photo shoot for a fashion catalogue you're working on. You'd like to find the rest of the shots of that model wearing that outfit in a particular pose. You could trawl through the hundreds of thousands of images looking for them yourself, or you could get Retrieva to do it for you. Simply select the image then ask Retrieva to find by similarity. After adjusting the similarity threshold you'll have just the images you were looking for, regardless of file format, image dimensions, aspect ratio or color depth.
